Tea tray, 2025

Porcelain

London, United Kingdom

This work is a continuation of Digital Grain, and the result of further explorations into 3D printing. While Digital Grain was made with the ‘Wasp’ 3D printer, this piece was made with the ‘3D potter’ 3D printer which could print at a larger scale with different printing settings. Inspired by traditional tea trays, the work aims to continue the use of Chinese knots as a motif and create functional tableware using modern technology.
