Commercial Ling Long, 2026

Porcelain

London, United Kingdom

This work is made to showcase the possibilities of Ling Long glazes. Though they are typically seen in tableware as a translucent glaze filling small rice-grain shaped holes, in ‘Commercial Ling Long’, it is seen in a more contemporary lens.

The traditionally translucent glaze is made to be transparent and glasslike, filling circular holes in more abstract hand-pinched cups and jewellery pieces. These pieces modernise the use of Ling Long glaze and show the potential of Ling Long to be featured in more modern wares.
