Stoneware and dried baby’s breath flowers

Singapore

Bloom depicts a traditional incense pot, commonly associated with prayers and death combined with the purity of baby breath flowers. It replicates the look of kintsugi, a Japanese technique of repairing pottery. Representing a sense of life even in death, the flowers act as a bond, holding the broken pot together. Additionally, it makes death more delicate and beautiful, a celebration of the end of a journey, something that people should not fear.
