Ashes shows a kaleidoscope with living animals and plants relating to death.

The use of pointillism hints at the idea of ashes but viewers will only notice the reference after research. This shows the depth and mystery of death and creates a sense of curiosity as to what other commonly seen items have a similar reference to death. Additionally, the use of a light source in the centre creates a semblance to the passage of time, reflecting the journey from birth to death.
