Letters explores the idea of communication even after death. This is portrayed through the use of paper offerings remade in ceramics, with imprinted handwritten messages. Burning paper offerings are a common practice in my community, with the belief that items can be received by the deceased after being burnt. As such, the work explores the use of paper offerings as a carrier, giving families a means to communicate with their loved ones after death.
