Kin depicts a porcelain teapot set placed in a row much like an offering to the dead. The teacups spell a Chinese idiom; 魂归故里 referencing how one’s spirit will always return home, signifying the importance of family. One of the teacups has been indented, implying that a spirit has indulged in the offering. The work aims to depict a reunion, with family returning home even after death.
